First-Ever FlamingWeenie Graphic

Welcome!

Peanut Butter Jelly Time Weenie FlamingWeenie is my silly gaming alter ego and his purpose is to instill said silliness (read about his origins).

Email your burning hot dog drawings to webmaster@flamingweenie.com.

Migrated via DataLiberation Tool

I moved the hot dog from a separate Google Apps account to my main one using tools provided by dataliberation.org (started by Googlers).  Unfortunately it borked all the dates on the posts, so just know that they weren't all made at the same time -- as if it matters, no one comes here!

Relighting the Hot Dog

Originally written October 24th, 2007 ...

The original version of this site stayed up nearly unchanged from the time I created it in December 2002 up until the end of October 2007. Only days before the domain name expired I decided to renew it for two years and thus it needs some facelift and reason for me to continue its existance. I suppose I'll have to start playing games again, but before that happens I'm going to play with Google Page Creator to finally upload all the stuff people sent me that I never did anything with.

Later that night ...

Well it turns out Google Page Creator kinda really sucks, but I'm sticking with it so I can leave this alone for another four years.

New Home on Google Sites

Well, I wasn't the only one who thought Google Page Creator sucks because they discontinued it this past summer (2009).  You'd think I would have been on the ball and moved the weenie somewhere else, but that did not happen.  I considered static hosting, but since I already have Google Apps installed on flamingweenie.com, I left it here.

Now one thing that's exceedingly curious is that GIF files are magically converted to PNG.  You can see this for yourself by downloading any of them in my Files section.  Normally I wouldn't care, except that it might confuse browsers and it destroys animations -- intentional?  So the little dancing guy above is using some crazy URL I dug up and then popped the and authkey query parameter off of.  I have no idea if it will continue to work.

And look, it's only been 2 years since I udpated the site (not 4)!  Go me!
